I am a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist and Herbalist with a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy and Naturopathic Herbalism from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. I am also a graduate of the ‘Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice’ (AFMCP) 2012 run by the Institute of Functional Medicine. This allows the use of functional testing and a deeper understanding of the root causes of disease and illness – and how to address the causes rather than simply treating the symptoms.
I am also a fully qualified Metabolic Balance® Practitioner – an award-winning and hugely successful weight management programme designed for bespoke 1:1 weight management coaching.
More about me:
A personal family experience led me into the fascinating and exciting world of nutrition and natural remedies.
My son was born with a chromosomal abnormality which resulted in severe learning disabilities. As a young child he suffered constantly with behavioural, mental, physical and digestive problems. After years of suffering (and a multitude of conventional drug treatments), he was diagnosed by a Nutritionist, with several, specific food intolerances, including dairy and wheat. With a change of diet, the results were immediate. We have used a number of nutritional approaches including the use of functional testing and enzyme therapy. His health, wellbeing and behaviour all showed a rapid and marked improvement. He has continued to improve over the years following the nutritional interventions and is now a thriving, healthy and happy young man.
This experience made me acutely aware of how important (and, often, unrecognised) good nutrition is and the impact it has on health and quality of life.
As a result of the astonishing changes to my son’s health, wellbeing and most importantly his behaviour, I embarked upon a course to study Nutrition and Naturopathy at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London.
My aims are to help as many people as I can to achieve health and wellness and to educate, inspire and empower individuals with my knowledge and expertise.
I am a firm believer in keeping life as simple as possible. Nutrition is not about rigid, difficult-to-follow diets. It is about the opportunity to introduce new foods, cooked well. It is the enjoyment of eating those foods that will enhance your health and the quality of your life.
I take a practical and realistic approach to achieving your goals, working with you on a 1:1 basis to make sure that any advice I give will fit around your circumstances and lifestyle.
