Are you one of the many millions of patients who are taking 'Statins'?

by -

I have recently read a book that I would highly recommend to anyone who has concerns over the side-effects that they may be experiencing since beginning to take statins. The book 'The Statin Damage Crisis' by Duane Graveline MD is his most recent work and highlights the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) safety information on cholesterol-lowering medications dated 28th February 2012.

Their list of statin precautions includes reports of memory loss, the risk of diabetes, the potential for muscle damage and neuropathy. I would urge anyone taking statins to read this information and consider the affects versus the benefits of taking these drugs.

Nutritional influences to control cholesterol are well documented an in-particular include CoQ10 supplementation alongside statins, Essential Fatty Acids such as Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats, folic acid and probiotics are all researched and have been shown to have an impact on cholesterol levels. Dietary changes are obviously beneficial and will include reducing saturated fats, refined carbohydrates and sugar.

If you are concerned about this information and would like to discuss it further please contact us on 01564 33 99 55 or complete our contact form and we'll call you back.
