The Metabolic Balance Transformation

One of the reason’s I love doing my job is hearing clients tell me their success stories -  they're always so glad they took the ‘risk’ and jumped in head first! 

 

This is a recent clients story and one which I hear from most of the clients that take part in the programme.  My recent client, Rawand has changed his life; he was destined for obesity, diabetes type 2, high blood pressure, inflammation and high cholesterol all of which lead to heart disease.  So, read on, if you know you need to make some changes. 

 

"I came to Andrea, having had a scare from my doctor, who advised me that my blood sugar levels were bordering Type 2 diabetes. I knew I had to make a drastic change in my diet, as I was severely obese at 117kg at the time. I read about the ‘Metabolic Balance’ programme she offered, and enrolled on the plan. 

 

Following a detailed analysis of health and a blood test, I started the programme. 

 

Phase 1 (2 Days):  

 

This was the most difficult part of the plan, and was a bit of a shock in terms of eating restrictions. It was highly vegetable-orientated, which I found tough. However, I knew that it was only for 2 days, and was an important part of the body detox process. 

 

 

Phase 2 (14 Days): 

 

My eating options were relatively limited, as my blood tests signified that I was very unhealthy. However, I was determined to carry on. I followed the plan as accurately as possible. As the days passed, the rules of the plan started becoming easier, and I was slowly getting used to it. E.g. Minimum 5 hour gaps between meals, adhering to strict portion sizes, and drinking a minimum of 4 litres of water per day! 

 

Following the 14 days, I visited Andrea, and I had lost just under 10kg in weight! This was remarkable, and formed the basis of good things to come. 

 

During this phase, I experienced a lot of the side-effects that the programme suggested would happen. For instance, my energy levels went right up, and I was feeling less tired. 

  

3.5 months on: 

 

I have had my 6th and final session with Andrea, and I now weigh 95.5kg, which means I have lost just under 22kg in a very short space of time. (Start weight 18 st 4lbs – finish weight 15 stone) 

  

Overall, I am over the moon with the results from this programme. I came to Andrea, as I knew I needed professional intervention to change my diet and health. Throughout the process, Andrea has been very helpful, and highly motivating. Her approach has been to empower me with the knowledge and tools to understand healthy nutrition, and has always been available if I ever emailed enquiries. 

 

For anyone thinking about this programme, my advice would be to go for it! I understand the programme can seem costly, as I felt the same at the start. However, looking back, the change in my health has actually been priceless. I can safely say that the programme has changed my life, and has educated me in terms of health and nutrition. Healthy eating has now become a way of life for me, and this programme is geared towards sustainable change, rather than yo-yo dieting."
