What is ProLon® FMD?

Based on the identification of the genes and pathways that regulate ageing and cellular protection, ProLon® promotes regenerative and rejuvenative changes, including effects on a wide range of markers that contribute to ageing, such as cholesterol, inflammation, and fasting glucose.
It has been clinically tested and found to promote beneficial effects in a variety of conditions ranging from excess weight to growth factors associated with DNA damage.
ProLon® contains 66 unique ingredients that have been studied for over a decade at USC, under the sponsorship of the NIH, to inactivate nutrient sensing pathways while providing nourishment for the body (macronutrients, micronutrients, minerals and vitamins) as well as mimicking and enhancing a fasting state.
ProLon® is plant-based and comes in a compact box which contains 5 smaller boxes (one for each day). The only limitation from it being suitable for vegetarians is the presence of honey and gelatin.
A typical day box contains a variety of bars, soups, snacks, drinks, and supplements. Day 1 is 1100 calories while each of the other 4 days are around 750 calories. While total calories are one dimension of the product, the most important dimension is the proprietary and patented formulation that mimics and enhances a fasting state. Additionally, ProLon® is Gluten and Dairy Free.
ProLon® mitigates the burden and danger of water-only fasting, while responding to the unmet need of having a readily consumable, proven and safe dietary program that does not require ongoing lifestyle changes, such as long-term dieting.

The ProLon journey
Day 1 – Fasting state – ProLon is designed to prime your body into a fasting state so it can begin cellular recycling.
Day 2 – Fat burning – autophagy begins (clearing up ageing and damaged cells).
Day 3 – Cellular recycling – fat burning and ketosis.
Day 4 – Cell regeneration – autophagy continues and stem-cell regenerations is increasing
Day 5 – Regeneration continues. The benefits after the 5-day FMD – stem cell-based rejuvenation continues for up to 5 days upon completion of ProLon mimicking diet and your return to healthy meal plan
Transition Diet – time to listen to your body and eat foods that are well tolerated; taking it slowly and steadily introducing foods back into your diet to ease you out of fasting
You should start with liquid foods, such as soups and fruit juices, followed by light meals including rice, pasta and small portions of fish, meat, and/or legumes. A normal diet can be resumed on day 7.

Step 4 – Set yourself a start date that works for you (away from holidays, social engagements, etc). Your fasting days may need you to take it easier than normal so check your workload isn’t too demanding.
